I really like the Holistic Grader feature.   Cheesy  But how do I delete a schema that I no longer want?

Also, is there a way to alter the order of assignments listed in the schema drop down menu?  I label each new grading schema by the class (HUM 101 Art Essay, HUM 101 Book Report) etc., but I've been working on several classes and the assignments are listed in order created.  I'd like to group all the assignments for a single class together in the drop down menu.

Never mind about the second questions!  As I've looked over the assignments I've created, I see they are sorting themselves alphabetically, which works perfectly since I start the name of each assignment with the class designation.  So all assignments for a particular class will automatically group together.

But I'd still like to know how to delete that one grading scheme that I don't want.

Rockethound,

I'm glad you like the holistic grader.  Spread the good news!   Wink

In answer to your (remaining) question, there is no automated way to remove a grading scheme.  Depending on the situation, you may want to simply revise an undesired scheme rather than deleting it.  If that won't work for you, then there is a work-around:

  • 1. Close Word and T.A. Toolbar, then;
  • 2. go to your My Documents folder.  There you will find a folder called "TaToolbar" within which are some xml files.  Locate the one that is associated with the obsolete scheme and just delete it.  It will no longer appear when you launch T.A. Toolbar.

I would urge caution when doing this, however, as this is not a supported use of T.A. Toolbar.  Tampering with the files in this folder could possibly break T.A. Toolbar, so be careful.  I would also strongly urge you to simply save the xml file in another directory somewhere rather than deleting it.  (Just in case. . . . )
