I just installed the new version of TA Toolbar (after installing Office 2007).  With the old version, there was a button I could click on to make the TA Toolbar appear or disappear.  When I open Word now, I don't see any button, nor can I figure out any way of actually getting TA Toolbar open except by going into the TA Toolbar folder and opening that program (which then opens Word and the toolbar).  Is this correct?  Is this the only way to actually make TA Toolbar visible?

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: The old T.A. Toolbar was a Word Add-in (pretty much just a Word document with a lot of macros).  However, when Microsoft went to Word 2007 and the infamous "ribbon,"   Undecided it was no longer possible to have a free-floating toolbar.  Thus T.A. Toolbar had to be coded as a stand-alone application--but one using Microsoft's interoperability tools--and that, in turn, requires both programs to run simultaneously.

If you would like some kind of On/Off button, add this to the feature requests forum.  We do listen.   Wink
